  1. Anyone, regardless of their nationality, who calls for US sanctions on their own country, will be regarded as a traitor by their own compatriots. Russian gadfly Navalny was one of them. Imagine if a person from YOUR country called on China or Switerland to impose sanctions on your country. How would you feel about them knowing that sanctions target the poor?
