Do you know how sea channels are made? Behind me is Asia’s largest Self-propelled Dredger — “Tiankun,” also called the engineer of earth. It’s digging up dirt and chipping away rocks to deepen or widen sea channels for larger ships.

The dredger is equipped with Asia’s most advanced excavation system that can mine up to 35 meters deep. It can also send sediment 15,000 meters away, the longest transport distance in the world. It will take “Tiankun” about 10 months to finish the job here at the Beibu Bay.
