A couple returning home to Britain from Brazil have described their mandatory 10-day stay in a quarantine hotel as “frustrating” and unaffordable.
Elaine and Wagner Araujo, who were away in Brazil on family business, had hoped to return before the requirement to isolate in a hotel entered into force.
But after two cancelled flights, they missed the cut-off point, and had to book a stay in a designated hotel at a cost of over £1,750.
