Holiday-goers woke up at 4am with their room at Riu Touareg Boa Vista, Cape Verde flooded in raw sewage.

They have lost their possessions lost, and had no assistance from the hotel staff at all.

“Had to wake other rooms up to alert them,” said the hotel guest.

“I am mortified.”
