As COVID cases soar across the country, the New South Wales and Victorian Premiers have warned we’re yet to see the worst numbers.
Healthcare workers are already being pushed to their limits, with at least one major hospital in western Sydney already having to turn away patients – when it became unable to cope with the number of patients. In New South Wales there are 1,036 COVID patients in hospital, with 62 on ventilators to help them breathe.
In Victoria, 76 COVID patients are in hospital.. 23 in Intensive Care.. and 11 on ventilators.
