A mother who lost her son in the Hillsborough disaster has demanded a “level playing field” for bereaved families involved in legal battles with the authorities.
Margaret Aspinall told MPs it was a “disgrace” that South Yorkshire Police had received public money during the inquests when the families had not. And many of those criticised for their role in connection with Hillsborough have still said little or nothing about what happened. Our Chief Correspondent, Alex Thomson, has been seeking them out.
