The Wendy’s in the middle of D.C.’s most confusing intersection is shutting its doors forever to make way for something new.
Operating since the mid-1980s, the Wendy’s at so-called ‘Dave Thomas Circle’ in Northeast Washington has baffled drivers and pedestrians alike. But it’s also the site of a lot of memories.
The city used eminent domain to acquire the property, in a proposed $35 million redevelopment of the strange, triangular roundabout.
