Federal Attorney-General Mark Dreyfus is expected to introduce legislation into parliament this week to establish a long-debated national anti-corruption body. It has been a long time coming and there has been plenty of scepticism along the way about just how powerful the federal equivalent of often-controversial state anti-corruption bodies would be. 7.30’s Laura Tingle interviews the Member for Indi, Helen Haines, who put forward a draft bill in the last parliament setting out a model for an anti-corruption commission.
