Heat, dust, fire and storms: Victoria bracing for extreme weather, authorities say | ABC News

A heatwave moving across Victoria is creating dangerous fire conditions in the state.

Fires have already flared in East Gippsland and near Ballarat with authorities now concerned that dry lightning may spark new blazes.

The eastern part of the state is at greatest risk with no rain forecast until later tomorrow.
