Hancock ‘does not rule out further action’ after London is placed in Tier 3

The Telegraph published this video item, entitled “Hancock ‘does not rule out further action’ after London is placed in Tier 3” – below is their description.

Health Secretary Matt Hancock said he did “not rule out further action” after moving London and parts of Essex and Hertfordshire into Tier 3.

He was pushed on whether the planned Christmas relaxation of Covid rules could be scrapped after Professor Chris Whitty, appearing beside him at the Downing Street briefing, warned of added pressure on the NHS.

The pair urged people to take personal responsibility over the Christmas break, with Mr Hancock adding: “If you want to see elderly relatives at Christmas, the best thing you can do is… be extremely careful now about who you see [in the lead-up].”
