A white gunman has opened fire at a supermarket in Buffalo, New York – killing 10 people, most of them black. The FBI says the incident is being investigated as a hate crime. The suspect was arrested at the scene. He has pleaded ‘not guilty’ to first degree murder.

The first two minutes of his attack were livestreamed on social media platform Twitch, using a camera attached to his helmet. Authorities are calling for tigher controls on streaming sites.
