Gungahlin was designed to be a community hub, but locals are commuting elsewhere | ABC News

ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Gungahlin was designed to be a community hub, but locals are commuting elsewhere | ABC News” – below is their description.

Canberra was designed around town centres, planned to provide residents with all they need to live, work and play in the area.

But, unlike Canberra’s other town centres — Belconnen, Woden and Tuggeranong — Gungahlin in the city’s north has a different look and feel, with no major employment hub.

The territory government says the federal government needed to do more to support more public service employment in Canberra’s north.
