We’re being warned the worst of Sydney’s COVID-19 outbreak is yet to come on a record day for infections and deaths.

While cases could peak within the next fortnight. The rate of hospital admissions is expected to keep climbing.

In the past 24 hours there were 1,431 new cases with 12 more people dying with the virus.

But, vaccine supplies are getting a major boost with a new deal securing 4 million doses of the Pfizer jab from the UK. Overnight another 500,000 doses arrived from Singapore.
