Greens slam federal government’s ‘big climate fail’ | 7NEWS

7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Greens slam federal government’s ‘big climate fail’ | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

The federal government has made a $500 million Budget commitment to fund new ‘clean energy projects’. Prime Minister Scott Morrison will announce the package later today with half the funding being allocated to developing hydrogen production hubs in regional areas. The announcement comes just days before Morrison attends US President Joe Biden’s climate summit. While the government says the projects will create over 2,000 jobs and help drive down emissions, the Greens say most of the funds will go to coal and gas.
