GBNews published this video item, entitled “Government slammed for ‘morally wrong’ Universal Credit cut” – below is their description.
Labour’s shadow work and pensions secretary Jonathan Reynolds has slammed Chancellor Rishi Sunak for refusing to make a temporary uplift in Universal Credit permanent.
Mr Reynolds also criticised the government for providing benefits which are some of the ‘lowest in the industrialised world.’
He added “there is simply no argument that says if you keep Universal Credit at the level it was increased to in the pandemic, you will deter people from going into work.”
