Government accused of whitewash after inquiry into BAME virus toll

Not just marginalised – but left out all together. Questions about structural racism and discrimination failed to appear in the government commissioned report on the coronavirus risks to people from black, asian and minority ethnic backgrounds in England.

And the entire section from the black doctor who was supposed to be in charge of the whole report – Prof Kevin Fenton – was not in the findings published last week. The government insists Prof Fenton’s valuable insight will inform the next phase of their inquiry.
