Golf legend Tiger Woods was taken to hospital after suffering multiple serious injuries in a rollover car crash south of Los Angeles on February 23, 2021. Police said he was on his own in the car when the incident happened in the US state of California. Reports said the golfer’s injuries were not life threatening and Woods was conscious when he was extricated. His condition was said to be “stable” after he was extracted from the vehicle, reportedly with a shattered ankle and two leg fractures. Law enforcement officials at the scene said Woods was “very fortunate” to survive the accident, which happened in an area considered a “hotspot” for fatal crashes.
