Gold Coast bus drivers have gone on strike, calling for better working conditions and a pay increase.

Union members say they’re earning less than their counterparts in Sydney and Melbourne.

“The next strikes may be evening shifts, and then we’ll move to 24-hour strikes, and if we have to do multiple days and longer strikes, that’s what’ll have to be done.” – Jared Abbott, Transport Workers’ Union.
