Global News published this video item, entitled “Global National: Sept. 18, 2021| Liberals return to vote-rich ridings where election race is tight” – below is their description.

It’s the final weekend before Canadians head to the polls, Abigail Bimman reports on where Liberals are focusing the last days of the campaign, Mike Le Couteur looks at the questions the Conservatives are dodging, while Robin Gill explains why the NDP is targeting some premiers to sway voters. Meanwhile, Richard Zussman looks at the Green Party’s last pitch to voters in British Columbia, and the chances of the party holding onto its two seats there.

Plus, what can Canadians expect come election day this Monday? Mercedes Stephenson looks at the latest polling and the confusion over what the 44th federal election is all about.

Newfoundland and Labrador leads Canada in unemployment at almost 12-percent, partly due to the oil downturn and health-care costs for the province’s aging population. As Ross Lord explains, that could hurt incumbent Liberals come election day.

In the 2019 federal election, just shy of 54 per cent of young Canadians turned out to vote. But between the pandemic, recent climate disasters, and rising costs of living, the priorities of young voters may show up at the polls. Olivia O’Malley explains.

And while Canadians are focused on the country’s upcoming vote, some people in the U.S. are still convinced that the 2020 presidential election was rigged. As Jennifer Johnson reports, hundreds of people showed up for a “Justice for January 6th” rally in Washington, eight months after the violent attack on in the U.S. Capitol.
