In our top story: There is a hate problem in Canada and it’s getting worse over the course of the pandemic. A new report has documented more than 1,000 racist incidents targeting people of Asian descent over the past year. From people being spat on to more physical acts of aggression. These are just self-reported incidents with the scope likely bigger. Travis Dhanraj has the story.
Ten people, including a police officer, are dead after a shooting at a Colorado grocery store. It’s the second mass shooting in the U.S. in less than a week. Today, Boulder police chief Maris Herold fought back tears as she read the names of the victims one-by-one. The 21-year-old suspect faces 10 counts of first-degree murder and as Jackson Proskow reports, police still don’t have a motive.

A second parliamentary committee has started investigating the treatment of women in the military.
