The UN says while the world is focusing on COVID-19, the production of methamphetamine is continuing to hit record highs.
The UN Office of Drugs and Crime says the latest data suggests prices have dropped significantly in Australia, the Pacific, and throughout Asia.
All the while the COVID-19 pandemic has not slowed the cartels down.
Jeremy Douglas, the UNODC’s representative for South-East Asia and the Pacific, says across a number of years, supplies have been surging.
