Human survival is slowly pushed to the brink in recent years, no thanks to climate change, biodiversity loss and frequent extreme weather. Coupled with the resurgent Covid pandemic, and simmering geopolitical tensions, the outlook is fraught with uncertainty. To meet these challenges head on, and seek viable solutions, the State Grid Corporation of China and the International Renewable Energy Agency hosted the International Forum for Energy Transition 2021 in collaboration with World Economic Forum as a content partner, co-hosted by world-leading utility companies. CGTN anchor Tian Wei hosted a forum with global leaders and experts to exchange views on the mammoth transition to green energy and ways to meet the Paris Agreement goals.
