For more: https://www.cgtn.com/video In response to U.S. accusations against China on the environment, the Chinese Foreign Ministry has published a fact sheet on environmental damage by the U.S. and the damage that its flip-flopping policies did to global environmental governance. It points out that historically, the U.S. has produced the world’s most greenhouse gases, although China has now replaced it. It quotes a recent report from the New York Times, showing that Trump’s administration has reversed 72 environmental policies and is challenging 27 more. The changes could lead to a rise in emissions and deaths from air pollution. Beijing says U.S. withdrawal from the Paris Agreement seriously undermined the global efforts on climate change. With the damage that the U.S. has done in just four years under Trump, does global cooperation on climate change hinge on the U.S. election? #US #Election #Climate
