Germany’s Merkel reaches out to party youth

German Chancellor Angela Merkel has appealed to the youth wing of her Christian Democratic Union party, as she battles its waning popularity in polls.

Al Jazeera’s Dominic Kane reports from Paderborn, where she gave the speech.
