Bloomberg Quicktake: Now published this video item, entitled “Germany’s Green Party May Hold Key to Next Government as Talks Begin” – below is their description.
Germany’s Green Party co-leader Robert Habeck on Monday called for “something new” in the country as the environmentalist party finished third in the parliamentary election.
The Greens made significant gains in the election to finish third but fell far short of their original aim of taking the chancellery.
The conservative party gained just 24.1% of the vote behind the social democrats at 25.7%.
The onus is now on smaller parties, such as the Green Party, to choose with who they want to enter into coalition.
Coalition talks will be tough and could last weeks, even months.Bloomberg Quicktake: Now YouTube Channel
