NBC News published this video item, entitled “George H.W. Bush: ‘There’s Not Disarray’ In The Administration’s Approach To The Economy” – below is their description.
President George H.W. Bush appeared on “Meet the Press” 10 times over the course of his long career as RNC chairman, CIA director and vice president. On February 5, 1984, he acknowledged that there was “a lot of unpredictability” in Lebanon, months after the bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut. When pressed about the administration’s approach to the economy, then-Vice President Bush replied, “There’s not disarray. Take your signals from the president. Work from the budget he sent up there … take your cues from those things, not by the who’s up, who’s down, inside the beltway stuff.”
