Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Gaza’s slow vaccine rollout: Concerns herd immunity will not be achieved” – below is their description.
In the Gaza Strip, which has been described as an open-air prison for more than two million people, 31,000 people have received at least one dose of the COVID vaccine, fewer than 3 percent of the adult population.
Health officials are not optimistic the Gaza Strip can ever obtain enough vaccines to achieve so-called herd immunity.
Al Jazeera’s Natasha Ghoneim reports from Gaza.
