Israeli air strikes have severely damaged much of Gaza’s infrastructure.

Officials with the electricity company say a major transmission line is down, and they are calling for urgent help getting more fuel supplies into the country.

Mohammed Thabet, a spokesperson for the Gaza Electricity Distribution Company, said at a news conference that: “The Qatari fuel grant almost finished, and the available quantities of fuel can so far help us to operate the electricity for two or three days maximum.”
