While young Chinese have spent decades embracing American pop culture driving them to study in the U.S., many Americans still find it hard to understand the unique system of Chinese language and philosophy. David Moser is a sinologist and linguist who came to China in the 1980s with an enthusiasm to learn Chinese characters.
