Gambia’s crisis deepens ahead of inauguration

A spokesman for Gambia’s president-elect says Adama Barrow will be in the country for his inauguration on Thursday.

The incumbent, Yahya Jammeh, has refused to step aside and has filed an injunction to restrict Barrow from taking office.

To complicate matters further, the country’s chief justice has refused to give a ruling.

Al Jazeera’s Nicolas Haque reports from Dakar in neighbouring Senegal.
