  • FRANCE 24 English published this video item, entitled “French town of Lunel tries to lose its ‘jihadist hub’ label” – below is their description.

The small town of Lunel, in southern France, made headlines six years ago for all the wrong reasons. Back in 2014, around 20 people left the French town in order to join the Islamic State group in Syria and Iraq. With Lunel flagged as a breeding ground for radicalisation, the local authorities have since made several changes in a bid to keep a close eye on the town’s youth. Our France 2 colleagues report, with FRANCE 24’s Claire Rush and Catherine Khédir-Clifford.
