French artisan makes soaps using snail slime

Snail farmer Damien Desrocher is one of only three artisans making soap bars with snail slime in France. The 28-year-old keeps about 4,000 snails in a backyard enclosure to harvest their slime. He says the gastropod fluid contains collagen and elastin, which have anti-ageing and skin-healing properties.
