In breaking news this morning, France has recalled its ambassadors to Australia and the US. It’s in the wake of a new nuclear defence deal signed between Australia, America and Britain. France says the decision to withdraw the ambassadors is to protest the new partnership called AUKUS – which gave Australia the secret blueprints to build nuclear-powered submarines. And that’s what has infuriated France because they had a $90-billion dollar deal to build our new fleet. But not any more.
