South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Foxconn dangles incentives for workers as iPhone shortages plague holiday season” – below is their description.
Foxconn Technology Group is offering new incentives to lure back workers who fled its major iPhone factory in the central Chinese province of Henan between October 1 and November 10, 2022. The company usually hires about 300,000 workers during the holiday season. But the factory’s labour shortage was due to two rounds of mass worker exodus, one in October over Covid-19 fears and another in November after the company reportedly backtracked on hiring incentives.
