Former Trump campaign manager’s counsel testifies before Jan. 6 committee | LIVE

Global News published this video item, entitled “Former Trump campaign manager’s counsel testifies before Jan. 6 committee | LIVE” – below is their description.

The second congressional committee hearing investigating the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol will take place on Monday.

Former U.S. president Donald Trump’s campaign manager’s counsel, and former officials from Atlanta and Philadelphia, will testify before the committee.

William Stepien, Trump’s campaign manager, dropped out from testifying before the Select Committee Monday morning due to family emergency. His counsel will appear and make a statement on the record.

The hearing is the second of an expected six this month, in which the panel will discuss initial findings of its year-long investigation into the events of Jan. 6, when thousands of Trump supporters attacked the Capitol as then-vice-president Mike Pence and lawmakers met to certify Trump’s defeat in the November 2020 election by Democrat Joe Biden.

Monday’s session follows a blockbuster hearing on Thursday night, featuring testimony showing that close Trump allies — even his daughter Ivanka — rejected his false claims of voting fraud.
