Former Malaysian PM Najib sentenced to 12 years in jail in corruption case

Former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak has been handed down a 12-year jail sentence after he was found guilty of all charges in the first of his five corruption trials linked to the 1-Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB) scandal. Najib has vowed to appeal the verdict.
