Former England and Tottenham striker Jimmy Greaves dies aged 81

Channel 4 News published this video item, entitled “Former England and Tottenham striker Jimmy Greaves dies aged 81” – below is their description.

To football fans who had the good fortune to watch him play in the 1960s, Jimmy Greaves was a goal scoring wizard.

Unusually for a centre forward, he wasn’t tall.

But his speed of body and mind, dribbling skills, and cool finishing made him the highest goalscorer in the history of top flight English football.

He went on to inject some much-needed warmth and humour into football as a TV pundit in the 1980s.

We look back on his life.
