RT published this video item, entitled “Forest fires block out the sun in Yakutia region of Russia” – below is their description.
Villagers in Russia’s Yakutia region were left gazing at a truly apocalyptic scene when residents were plunged into total darkness after the sun was fully blocked out.
It’s thought to have been caused by smoke from various forest fires, which have plagued the region over the last few weeks. Several villages in the local area went totally dark on Monday afternoon, and some reports suggest the situation hasn’t changed.
‘It’s like an apocalypse. We were scared’, a local resident told a Russian news outlet.
