As highly transmissible Delta variant gains speed across the United States, heath officials there are desperately trying to convince millions of Americans still refusing a COVID-19 vaccine to take it.

The situation is becoming especially dire in Florida, which has become America’s new epicenter in the pandemic, with roughly 20 per cent of the country’s overall new cases.

But as Jennifer Johnson reports, that doesn’t seem to stop Gov. Ron DeSantis from disregarding any potential new restrictions.
