First Nations leaders in remote communities in the Top End have stepped up their campaign for border restrictions to be kept until most Indigenous people are fully vaccinated.
Barayuwa Munggurr, chairman of the Laynhapuy Homelands Aboriginal Corporation in Arnhem Land, told Sue Lannin that many people in remote communities will die if the coronavirus spreads to the Northern Territory’s traditional lands.
