A military cargo plane carrying 35,000 kilograms of baby formula from Europe has arrived in the U.S. The U.S. government’s “Operation Fly Formula” aims to address a nationwide shortage after top manufacturer Abbott recalled its products in February. Abbott closed its Michigan plant after federal health officials found a potentially deadly bacteria. The plant was responsible for producing up to 25 percent of the nation’s baby formula.
