Firm owned by second richest UK family demands pubs pay rent during coronavirus lockdown | ITV News

The easing of the lockdown will still come too late for some businesses.
It’s been especially desperate for publicans.

And ITV News can reveal that one of the biggest chains has refused to waive rent for some of its pubs, despite promising to help tenants at the start of the pandemic.

The Wellington Pub Company is owned by the billionaire Reuben brothers.

Now some landlords are facing banckruptcy and losing their homes too.
