Findings of investigation into Victorian Labor branch stacking are ‘uncomfortable’

Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “Findings of investigation into Victorian Labor branch stacking are ‘uncomfortable’” – below is their description.

Former Labor MP Stephen Conroy says the findings of a five-month investigation into a branch stacking scandal in the Victorian Labor Party are “blunt” and will be “uncomfortable reading” for many Labor members. The investigation, led by former Victorian Premier Steve Bracks and former Federal MP Jenny Macklin, found branch stacking methods had “brazenly increased” and handed down 37 recommendations to dispose of the practice. “This is a pretty blunt examination starting at the top,” Mr Conroy told Sky News host Peta Credlin. “I think there’s some very worthy recommendations, I’m hoping that the overwhelming majority will be adopted so that the Labor Party can make a clean start. “I think they will be uncomfortable reading for many Labor Party members.”
