The film, which shared the directing prize at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, sees a well-meaning father rig the system in a desperate bid to give his daughter a better life.
Also, Iranian arthouse darling Golshifteh Faharani mesmerises in “Go Home”. She plays a woman who returns to her Lebanese hometown after exile and embarks on a mission to solve a family mystery.
Meanwhile, French audiences are introduced to a remastered version of Brad Bird’s modern animated classic “The Iron Giant”.
