Fighting in northern Syria forces thousands to flee

There are reports that the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL also known as ISIS) group has captured several villages near Aleppo in the north of Syria. Intense fighting in recent days has forced thousands to flee their homes as Syrian government forces have been battling to regain ISIL-held areas.

The fighting has put a strain on maintaining the already fragile ceasefire.

Al Jazeera’s Andrew Simmons reports from the Turkish province of Gaziantep close to the Syrian border.
