FIFA’s Fatma Samoura defends plan to expand the World Cup

FIFA’s new secretary general Fatma Samoura of Senegal told Al Jazeera that she expects the US Justice Department’s investigation into corruption at football’s governing body to be over by the end of next year.

She took over the role from Jerome Valcke, who was fired after a corruption investigation.

Samoura spoke to Joanna Gasiorowska that once the investigation is through, she plans to expand the World Cup.
