Female genital mutilation continues in Senegal

Female genital mutilation is illegal in Senegal and those who participate risk 5 years in prison.

The law has been in place for two decades, but as Al Jazeera’s Nicolas Haque reports from Kolda in southern Senegal, the practice continues.
