Fears grow for citizens as Iraqi forces advance on Mosul

Iraqi forces have made a major push to retake the district of Hamdaniya on the outskirts of Mosul from the ISIL, the armed group’s last major urban stronghold in the country.

As the army gains ground, there are growing fears for the estimated one million citizens of Iraq’s second-largest city.

Al Jazeera’s Zeina Khodr reports from southeast of Mosul.
