Federal agents were seen removing items from a New York townhome belonging to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska.

Earlier Tuesday, agents conducted a similar “law enforcement activity” at another home of Deripaska’s in Washington, but would not provide any additional information about the circumstances or about potential investigations involving him.

The wealthy Russian who made his money in the aluminum business is a close ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He was also mentioned multiple times in special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on interference in the 2016 presidential election.
