The White Rock Lake wildfire burning near Vernon, B.C. has forced thousands to flee their homes. Others, however are refusing to leave evacuation zones.
B.C.’s Public Safety Minister Mike Farnworth says that’s putting firefighter’s lives at risk, since it’s forcing crews to rescue people in dangerous conditions.
